Turtle illustration for Great Barrier Reef Foundation

I created a very cute green turtle hatchling illustration for the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.  The illustration was then printed on to 2000 (yes 2000!) tote bags to be handed out at World Science Fair in Brisbane.  Kids were able to colour them in at the GBRF marquee and have a bag for life promoting conservation, especially with a plastic bag ban coming in on 1st July.  It was a pleasure seeing so many people (kids and adults) excited about the bags, and encouraging that they ran out on the second day!

I received a great testimonial from the Great Barrier Reef Foundation for the turtle illustration I created for their colouring in bags:

“Edd was fantastic to collaborate with on this project.

He was really able to reflect the feel of the green sea turtle we were looking to use in the artwork but also give it character and style.

We were thrilled with the outcome and all members of our community have just fallen in love with our turtle hatchling as a face of the issues of marine debris.”
